Is there more than one theatre?
Yes. The FSU Center for the Performing Arts houses two theatres. The main performance space for the Asolo Repertory Theatre is the Mertz Theatre, a beautifully restored 500-seat facility originally built in 1903 as an opera house in Dunfermline, Scotland. The FSU/Asolo Conservatory performs primarily in the intimate and contemporary 161-seat Cook Theatre, also housed in the center. This year both Asolo Rep and the Conservatory will each perform one show in the Historic Asolo Theater, America's only 18 th century European theatre, located in the Ringling Museum of Art's Visitor's Pavilion.
